Meet The Team: Alex Jones
We spoke with Alex Jones, Apprentice Recruiter and Functional Skills English Tutor, to find out more about her role at In-Comm Training.
How long have you been at In-Comm Training?
I’ve been at In-Comm Training for almost six year – time flies when you’re having fun!
What is the best thing about your job?
The satisfaction of placing the right candidate in their chosen apprenticeship.
If you had to do one apprenticeship with In-Comm, which one would you choose and why?
I would choose ‘Safety, Health & Environment’ to ensure that we are improving the workplace for all.
What’s been your proudest moment at In-Comm Training?
Achieving both my PTLLS teaching qualification and my assessing qualification.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love to read a good book, enjoy cooking and spending time laughing with friends and family – it’s the best medicine!
What inspires you?
Human perseverance in the face of adversity; it’s great to see apprentices overcome a challenge and enjoy success.
What advice would you give to people thinking about embarking on an apprenticeship?
Do it! It’s a fantastic alternative to sixth form, college or university and you get paid to learn! You’re also gaining valuable experience from senior colleagues – which in itself is priceless.
