Introduction

The RTITB Forklift Refresher course is aimed at existing operators who are formally trained to use a forklift truck who wish to reaffirm their driving skills.  This course will provide suitable and sufficient understanding of current relevant legislation, best practice and safe use of forklift trucks.

A one day course for delegates who must already be in possession of an RTITB Basic Certificate, which must be produced prior to course commencement. This course can only be delivered at client company premises or at our FLT Training Centre based in Aldridge, West Midlands.

This course is designed to enable delegates who have undergone basic training to be re-assesses to the required standards of Fork Lift Truck operation in accordance with RTITB criteria.

  • Pre-Use Inspection and Take Over Maintenance
  • Controls & Instruments
  • Weight Assessment
  • Starting, Moving & Stopping of the Forklift Truck
  • Handling Laden and Unladen Pallets
  • Operation of Hydraulic Controls
  • Safety Code Testing
  • Practical Test of Basic Operating Skills
  • Written Test of Operating Knowledge

This programme uses a mixture of individual practical exercises and input discussions to fully involve participants. This course is limited to a maximum three delegates and each successful delegate will receive an RTITB Photo ID Card and Certificate of Competence.
