Hydraulic Systems Course
Introduction

Hydraulic systems are used in all kinds of large and small industrial settings as an efficient and cost-effective way to create movement or repetition.  This course is designed for those working with or close to fluid power systems, who need to be introduced to hydraulics for the first time.

The aim of this one and a half day course is to provide a greater understanding on the basic hydraulic principles that underpin the operation of all hydraulic systems.

  • Recognise safety aspects of hydraulic systems
  • Understand theory of pressure and flow
  • Know how to store and handle hydraulic fluids
  • Understand basic hydraulic circuit diagrams
  • Build and test hydraulic systems with basic components
  • Build systems for various applications
  • Routine maintenance of hydraulic systems

This programme uses a mixture of group discussions, pro-forma examples, information input sessions along with practical application to fully involve participants.

Participants will:

  • Understand a typical hydraulic system with basic theory and components
  • Understand the configuration of components in different types of applications
  • Simple troubleshooting of hydraulic systems
  • Routine maintenance of hydraulic systems
