To provide delegates with an understanding of how strip utilisation and correct use of a BOM can increase efficiencies during the tool making process. On completion delegates will be able to comment on layout of strips for a given component and show how FMEA, VA/VE and BOM’S contribute to the efficient tooling process.
Strip Layout & Bill of Materials
The programme uses industrial examples to cover the following key topics:
- Component layout- Burr direction and grain flow.
- FMEA, Value Analysis/Value Engineering.
- Using a BOM to identify required parts, to order required parts and create a KANBAN.
Participants will be able to:
- Comment on the layout of the strips for a given component.
- Show how FMEA, VA/VE and BOM’s contribute to efficient tooling processes.
