Join the In-Comm Training Skills Pledge… and protect industry’s future engine.


With Covid-19 causing widespread disruption in the business world, In-Comm Training is keen to champion the importance of protecting our apprentices and the future skills requirements of the economy.

We need to be proactive in planning our own exit strategies to the current situation, rather than waiting for what action may come from Government…let’s be the masters of our own destiny!

With this in mind, we are asking employers to take the ‘Skills Pledge’ to maintain their commitment to vocational learning and developing the engineers, marketeers and team leaders of the future, avoiding a possible drain in new talent when the recovery begins.

In return, In-Comm Training will proactively lobby Government for more flexibility in learning paths, additional financial assistance and more tailored interventions.

What do we need from Employers?


It is vital that we do not waste the valuable time, finances and effort that have already gone into developing the stars of the future and your commitment to supporting these learners – at the beginning of their career path – is the first step in In-Comm’s pledge to keep ‘Powering the Engine’.

Our Skills Pledge will be a year-long campaign and we are inviting bosses, apprentices and mentors to get involved in a range of activities designed to raise the profile and importance of maintaining and increasing apprenticeships during this difficult time.

For every firm that signs up to one or more of the pledges, In-Comm has also committed to manufacturing five visors for the NHS or local care homes.

What we need you to do: Give up one hour of you and your apprentice’s time to help us promote how investing in Apprenticeships has supported your business and what the benefits are.

In-Comm Incentive: A free skills audit and report for the business.

What we need you to do: Pledge to upskill members of your workforce over the next 12 months.

In-Comm Incentive: 5% discount on the cost of each employee completing a training course (over £500)

What we need you to do: Pledge to recruit an apprentice or get one of your existing employees to take an apprenticeship to teach new skills, knowledge and behaviours.

In-Comm Incentive: For every Apprenticeship Recruitment pledge you will receive a free Learning Mentor course for your in-house Apprentice Mentor, covering safeguarding aspects of apprenticeship delivery along with the personal mentoring and skills development of the individual.
