The aim of this one and a half day course is to provide a greater understanding on the basic hydraulic principles that underpin the operation of all hydraulic systems.

Participants will:

  • Understand a typical hydraulic system with basic theory and components
  • Understand the configuration of components in different types of applications
  • Simple troubleshooting of hydraulic systems
  • Routine maintenance of hydraulic systems
  • Recognise safety aspects of hydraulic systems
  • Understand theory of pressure and flow
  • Know how to store and handle hydraulic fluids
  • Understand basic hydraulic circuit diagrams
  • Build and test hydraulic systems with basic components
  • Build systems for various applications
  • Routine maintenance of hydraulic systems

This programme uses a mixture of group discussions, pro-forma examples, information input sessions along with practical application to fully involve participants.
